Cities forced to take down Nativity Scenes. Government cemeteries sued and remove crosses. Schools ban songs with Jesus or God in them.
What can we do about this growing anti-Christian trend?
1) Know your rights. Anti-religion forces will claim that we have the freedom to worship and that our faith should not creep into the public square. That is wrong.
We don’t have a freedom of worship, which is contained with the church walls, we have a freedom of RELIGION. Religion effects EVERY aspect of your life, both private and public, both at work and at home.
Religion and worship are not synonyms.
Worship is a part of religion, but religion spreads far outside the church.
2) Show your faith. We are losing the culture wars in this country because we are lazy. We expect the government to display our faith when we are unwilling to do it ourselves.
Nativity Scenes are a perfect example.
Eighty-percent of Americans claim to be Christian. Yet, how many homes during the holidays display Nativity Scenes vs. Santa Claus? Just driving around my neighborhood, Santa Claus is winning by a 8-to-1 margin.
That’s why we’ve started a Facebook page called The Nativity Project.
The purpose is simple: We need to take back Christmas one yard at a time. If every believer displayed a Nativity in their yard, it would make government displays unnecessary.
We’re asking that you:
- Proudly display your Nativity Scene
- Snap a photo
- Post it on our Nativity Project page.
If we’re not willing to show our faith, then how can we expect the government to reflect our values?
Take a moment, check out the page and, if you feel so inclined, “Like” it and tell all of your friends and family about it.
If America is going to remain a Christian nation, we need to show the nation our Christianity.
