You’ll often hear good people say the phrase “I don’t want to impose my morality on others.”
Well, if you’re not imposing your morality on others, then others are imposing their morality on you. There is no such thing as a neutral morality.
A lack of “morality” is a morality. Atheism is a morality as much as Orthodoxy is a morality.
At the end of the day, you will either push for the world to reflect your beliefs or you will allow the world to reflect some one else’s.
If Jesus offered us a single truth, an absolute truth that transcends time and cultures, then we must fight for this country to reflect that truth. If the country is not reflecting Jesus’ truth, then whose truth is it supporting?
Let us not forget that Satan doesn’t care how we don’t get to Heaven. He only cares that we don’t get to Heaven.
We may be given a million moral options, but only one, Jesus’ morality, is on the path to Heaven. The other 999,999 are not.
As Christians we must first answer this question – if there is only one single truth, then how can so many Christian denominations offer widely varying versions of it?
How can Christian denominations both support and oppose divorce, both support and oppose birth control, both support and oppose homosexual unions and both support and oppose abortion?
Jesus does not both support and oppose anything. We have to figure out Jesus’ one, true teachings, His one true faith, and live it, teach it, preach it and do our best to have the world reflect it.
Because if the world is not reflecting Jesus’ truth, then it is reflecting Satan’s lies.
Morally speaking, there is no in-between.
