99.97% complete. That’s where we are on Episode 4. I finished all of the editing last night. The only thing left to do is a voice over consisting of three lines. Hopefully I’ll be able to get that this week and we can wrap this one up.
This episode was, by far, the most challenging from an editing perspective. One of the scenes takes place in a talent show and I had to layer in Babs’ performance, her foot steps, the rolling of the mannequin, the hum of the audience, the occasional clapping/response, music, dialogue and echoed SFX of an event that occurs in slow motion.
No easy task, to be sure, but we got it done.
The final Episode to get finalized is #2. Before heading off to bed last night I edited a new scene we shot the previous weekend that takes place outside of a church after Mass. It was not a critical scene, but it helps tie things together at the end of the Episode, so we shot it anyway.
I only have one last pick-up shot of a poster that DC and I are putting together, then I can wrap that one up too.
Over the long weekend, DC and I also came up with three new ideas for Episodes, one about contentment, another about fear and another about envy. All very funny. If the Holy Spirit inspires me, I’ll jot them down and see what happens from there. I know with the cast in school and fall baseball about to start, things won’t get any easier, that’s for sure.
But, the Lord can accomplish anything, so I’ll follow His lead.
