Gabby Wells Trilogy Paradigm Outline Complete
Taking advantage of my family being out of town this week, I spent a LOT of time working through The Adventures of Gabby Wells trilogy outline.
- The first film in the trilogy is a mystery and deals with the difference between God’s Will and our Free Will.
- The second movie is a chase movie and deals with the struggles of accepting the consequences of sin.
- The third movie is a suspense drama and deals with living by faith and accepting sacrifice in order to follow God’s Will.
I’m very excited how much I was able to get done the past five days and love where the story has taken itself. The Holy Spirit is a far better writer than I’ll ever be, so I love just talking it through until it all makes sense.

The finished three film paradigms.
With this process I’ve tried a new technique that I had not used before. I recorded all of our script idea sessions into a digital voice recorder and then transcribed them onto paper. It’s amazing how much detail I retain that way. Before I would remember the highlights, but there are so many different levels, subtle character arcs and influences, that I simply would not remember any other way. I think I’m sold on doing this with every script going forward.
Next, I’ll repeat the entire process for each script individually. Time to take these important broad stroke story concepts and convert them into detailed and entertaining storytelling… Lord willing.
