Purgatory, USA – What To Do…

That’s the question…. what to do.

As we finish up the first four episodes of Purgatory, USA I keep getting asked “When are we going to see it?”

That’s a good question.  What should be  simple answer has become increasingly muddled.  I know what I had planned and I know what I would like, but this isn’t my project, it’s the Lord’s.  So, I’m still trying to figure out what He wants.

What I Planned:  I originally planned on using PUSA as part of our overall pre-feature film marketing endeavor to develop confidence in the Sonlight Pictures name, to create a library of quality shorts and to use to build momentum leading up to our feature film creation.  We were to put the episodes on the web immediately and start working on the next project.

What I Would Like:  Now that the first four PUSAs are basically complete, what I would like to do is find someone to help finance the ability to shoot another 20 episodes, expand the journey of the characters and spend more time with the wonderful actors.  I’d then like to travel to youth groups with our cast and show the episodes in person and discuss the subject matters covered.

But, what does the Lord want to do?  Of course, He already has a plan in place.  He just hasn’t let me in on it yet.

So, I’ll pray and shut up and listen and hope God whispers loud enough to make sense to a dense creature like myself.
